This painting is titled "L'Hotel De Ville Et Place De Greve" and was created by the talented Nicolas-Jean-Baptiste Raguenet in 1753. It is a part of his collection called "Mussee Carnavalet".
The public square in the 4th arrondissement of Paris that is now the Place de l'Hotel de Ville (City Hall Square) was, before 1802, called the Place de Greve. Nicolas-Jean-Baptiste Raguenet was a French painter and the son of Jean-Baptiste Raguenet. The two of them were responsible for creating many paintings of Paris depicting buildings and landscapes in the city.
